The Sunday Spark: The Case For Faith
I just finished watching this documentary today based on the book of Lee Strobel; an ex-atheist journalist, who through his wife's coming to Christ, also led him to the point of speculation and a thirst for truth. After he became born again he created two amazing books and videos, The Case for Christ and The Case for Faith. I highly suggest these to anyone, atheist, Hindu, Muslim, buddhists, and Christians alike! Everyone of every faith I believe should at least question the existence and meaning of Christ. Strobel brings many authorities to the front lines to answer some amazing questions, objections and truths. Below is a trailer for the video The Case for Faith where he answers the two greatest objections to faith. Click to find out...

World News: Iraq- The Assyrian Massacre
My fellow readers if you have not heard of this despicable act of violence yet, then the video below will explain. It is a horrific massacre of our Christian brothers and sister followed through by Al Qaeda Terrorists. Over 63 unarmed men, women, children and priests were brutally murdered in a Catholic church on 10-31-10 The priests, God bless their courageous souls, pleaded they they be sacrificed to spare the others. My brothers and sisters I do not hope that this discurages your faith. For it is the time now to proclaim our faith and rise up as A Warrior 4 CHRIST! The evil one would have us be silent. Not to discuss our faith in conversation, schools, publicly, be afraid to speak of our faith, on your Facebook/social sites, or even with your immediate family. But I challenge you to proclaim it today, or whenever this post reaches you. Be proud as there are those today giving their lives for our Lord. And we can rise as a people to back them and speak for their bravery and courage in the face of terrorists. Would you be able to do the same?
A verse comes to mind:
Luke 9:23-26 "23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? 26 Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels."
MSN News Article: Christians Mourn over Iraq Massacre
I must warn that this video clip shows very real pictures of the murders and I would caution young children to not read on.
My thoughts, prayers, and tears go out to the families, and the country of Iraq. Please pray for them.
Go now and be courageous, mourn & be proud of our brothers & sisters & all that they gave.

The Sunday Spark: Jesus of Nazareth
>>Youtube: Jesus of Nazareth

This clip depicts the amazing mercy of God through Jesus and his understanding, which shall be our new understanding of his word and how the word is to be accepted. It also tells of the greatest commandments to uphold as believers around 1:10min. This clip has to be my favorite of the whole movie from the beginning where Jesus tells the Pharisees that "You should not judge." Then a great illustration of forgiveness, as he tell Mary Magdalene that "Your faith has saved you." Finally ending the clip with Jesus amongst his apostles questioning them as to who they think he truly is. This clip ends with one of my favorite verses- Luke 9:23 I challenge you to read/google it right after reading this post. Now go, and be a warrior4Christ my friends!

The Sunday Spark: David and Goliath
Today's topic is inspired by a service I attended that discussed the story of David defeating Goliath.
1 Samuel 17:45-47
"David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I'll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. 47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands."

Meaningful Music Video 3- "Our God" by Chris Tomlin
In times of great destruction, floods, earthquakes, fires, war, a social decline in values and purpose, etc. many find it hard to believe in a higher power; a God that allows all of this to happen right? I'm sure you know someone who has said that. We may also find ourselves wondering if there is a God, will he be able to pull us out of this mess? Is he still there for us? As Christ even said while dying on the cross "My God, my God why have you forsaken me?". This may be a moment where we feel so alone that no one can help us through our struggles. But this I say to you "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
I hope the song below brings great encouragement to you has it has for me.
So I challenge you to ask yourselves: Has God forsaken you, or have you weakened your faith in the power of our God?
Favorite Verse: "And if Our God is for us, then who could ever stop us, and if our God is with us, then what can stand against?"

The Sunday Spark: LifeHouse's Everything Skit
This video is a skit done at a Christian music concert "Winterfest" in Knoxville, TN. 2006.
The skit really speaks to our young adult generation and is something worth watching. It depicts our journey with Christ from birth and themes of all the challenges we face along the way. I'm not going to lie, it's pretty heart wrenching. If you know someone that may be struggling with one of these themes portrayed here, I highly suggest bringing them to this video or passing it along. Almost 15 million people have already viewed it and are causing quite a movement. Don't believe me just read the comments below the vid...think how can you help someone today? How can you lead someone today?

UFC's Ken Shamrock's Testimony
I recently came across this testimony of tough man Ken Shamrock! One of my pet peeves is that Christians are perceived to be weak and meek due to their empathetic and caring nature. Jesus was in my opinion the strongest man alive. The most innocent man who took all that beating and betrayal for our sins. He had to stare at a judge who offered him freedom if he just caved and said, no he's not the King of the Jews, yet Jesus just stood there and replied "Yes, it is as you say." (Matthew 27:11) Even if you do not believe in him, you must admit that took an immense amount of courage & strength.

Music Video2 -"What do I know of Holy?" By Addison Road
During some recent prayer I found this song, it is an amazing lyrical song of questions. To ask the great question, what do I know of this God and Christ that I believe in? This is a question that sparked my journey of faith, which I will explain in another post, and encourage all to ask this question. Do we just know our God as a god whose just up there in heaven waiting to strike us down with a lightning bolt every time we sin or have we taken the time to really get to know and build a relationship, a friendship with our father in Jesus...what do we know of his forgiveness?
Favorite verse: "I made you promises a thousand times, I tried to hear from heaven, but I talked the whole time."

Music Video1- "Hold My Heart" by Tenth Avenue North
Kicking off the Meaningful Music Video series with one of my favorite bands Tenth Avenue North! This is a great song for the times of today that connects us with the question that many of us might be asking "God if your real, could you help me through this struggle and hold my heart?" Phenomenal lyrics, I hope you enjoy! YouTube: "Hold My Heart"
Favorite Verse: "One life, thats all I am. Right now, I can barely stand. If your everything you say you are won't you come close and hold my heart!"

Testimony1- Brian Welch of Korn tells his story
For some reason I just feel like Brian's interview would be a great way to kick off this blog and my testimony series! It is one of my favorite testimonies of faith from an old favorite band of mine when I was "young and restless" haha I hope that we can all grab from this that God, no matter what your sins may be, never gives up on his children. No matter what.
